I hope you all have had a fabulous weekend! The weather was beautiful here in Colorado. Needless to say, I didn’t have much of a desire to sit in front of the computer. I did, however, make it out to a few stores. As you see below, I spent a lot more than normal this week, but I was able to stock up on a bunch of meat that will keep us going through the next month or so! I used two rain checks at Safeway to get the chickens and the ground beef.

Walgreens: $7.48 Money Maker

Target: $7.04

King Soopers: $9.52

Sunflower Market: 21.12

Safeway: $39.76

Total spent this week: $69.96

Total for May: $112.39

Total for 2010: $486.02
Did rock those coupons this week?

Hey Jennie – How long did it take you to go from average couponer to great? I believe I've done really well – compared to what I used to do…but it seems like I can't get better! Still spending WAY more than you! I've been at this since about October…any words of advice? Encouragement? ! :0) Thank you!

How is your stockpile coming along? That is the #1 thing that contributes to us keeping our budget so low. Also keep in mind that I'm shopping for two people. Sure, I get a lot to donate, but meat, veggies etc. are just for two people.

Generally, I don't advise comparing $ or $ budgets….every family is very different and what really matters is that you are saving…regardless of how much it is. :)

I can't WAIT for your next Coupon 101 class! This week was my first week really focusing on the deals, coupons etc. I felt so overwhelmed even though I felt so organized before I left the house. I still spent $40 at Sunflower and I spent $45 at King Soopers (Saved $40). Best yet for me, but I can't WAIT til I'm down to something closer to the teens and twenties, which sounds reasonable for a family of 5. Or do the above dollars sound about right? I'm in teh same boat as THe Moeller's… I feel like I can do better. I've signed up for your class… I look forward to meeting you!

Ahhhhh……… That's why, I live near Chicago and we don't have a Safeway or Rite Aide in this area. Thanks anyway !
