So many of you are having fantastic shopping trips at King Soopers this week! Thanks again to everyone who sent pictures today! Here is an awesome savings story from reader Alaina that I want to share with you:

I wanted to share my great savings with you. I have been a big fan of your site for over a year now and I want to thank you and the Bargain Blessings family for all of your hard work. My family of 5 has saved thousands of dollars. Also I’d like to thank all of the regular readers for sharing their deals, together we all help each other.

My trip to King Soopers yesterday was awesome, I purchased 105 items totaling $133.55 and I paid only $40.93 and still have a $3 catalina left, my total savings was $92.62. I am definitely going back this week!

I especially want to point out what Alaina said about readers helping other readers. You all amaze be in the comments section each week by sharing deals, asking questions and helping one another to save. Thank you so much for being a part of this community! :)

Need a little motivation to get out and participate in the King Soopers (Kroger) Mega Event this week? Check out the details on this awesome shopping trip that reader Elizabeth had!

I thought I’d share my deals I got thanks to your site! I bought 52 items, saved 68% and paid $40.91. And to top it off I got $16 in Catalinas back! The Crystal Lights were one of my personal price deals and they were $1.89 each and then the $5 Catalina on top of that. And a huge thanks to Hazel for mentioning the laundry detergent store coupon cause I’ve got tons of this detergent but now I have even more to donate. They ended up being $1.12 each. The Diet Pepsi 2 liters were free, as were the mustards  and also the floss (of course).

Wowie! Way to go Elizabeth and thanks for the added motivation for all of us! :) I just posted the King Soopers deals that will be starting on January 30th, so make sure to check them all out!

Wow! Here is another phenomenal savings example courtesy of reader Jared and his wife. Recently they were able to score all 38 of these items for FREE at King Soopers, that is a 100% savings! The regular price for all of this was $61.81.

Fantastic shopping, and thanks so much for sharing this inspiring shopping trip with all of us!

Please keep in mind that even if you will not use these products in your household they can be great to donate to others. This is something I try to do regularly as well!

So many of you have scored such awesome deals at Safeway lately, that we just had to share a few examples! Reader Mandy was able to save a whopping 80% off on her last trip to Safeway. Way to go Mandy!

Here is what she had to say about her shopping trip:

So I took your class this past Saturday and decided that I would try to take advantage of Safeway’s deals this week. I have to tell you I was so nervous! But I got to the counter and everything went really smoothly. I got $58 worth of stuff for @ $12 with tax. I couldn’t believe it. My husband was so proud and has sent texts to his friends with the picture of groceries, well and so have I :) That was exhilerating. I can’t wait to take your advanced workshop. Thank you SO SO Much!

Congratulations on your amazing job at Safeway Mandy!

If you are new to the world of couponing and might be a bit “nervous” like Mandy was, we would love to help you with that! Don’t forget to check out the Free Grocery Savings and Couponing Class being offered September 15th, and you can be on your way to 80% savings or more too. :-)

I know that many of you are busy rockin’ the deals at Safeway  this week and I’m glad to hear it! If you have not gotten in on any deals lately due to summer busyness, this shopping trip from reader Jill might encourage you to get going again. Here is what she had to say about it:

It seems like it’s been a long time since I’ve been able to stock up big time on some snack stuff. I spent a little more than I like on a few things, but I was getting quite nervous going into the start of school with almost an almost empty snack and cereal stockpile. :/ So, I went for it. Might go grab a few more, now that I know about the catalina. :) On this trip I was able to get 9 boxes of cereal, 9 fruit snacks, 5 cereal bars, 4 protein granola bars, 9 fiber one bars/brownies, 2 loaves of bread, english muffins, 3 packs of tuna, and over 3lb of grapes for $25, after subracting catalinas. My original total, before club card was $161.38. Now that makes me HAPPY!

Thanks again for ALL you do. I’ve been couponing with you for a few years now. This summer has been VERY tight on the budget. Couponing has gotten us through. Thanks so much for teaching me all I know!

Congrats on your awesome trip Jill! I’d certainly say that you are well on your way to a fantastic back to school stockpile. ;)

This See You Shop Thursday story is my favorite so far this year. Why? Becuase it is not only a story of saving, but a story of giving back! Reader Hazel is going to be taking a trip to Iowa soon and all of these items are going with her…to donate to a food pantry! I know she has been working really hard since December to gather everything and it is just so incredible to think about all of the people that are going to be helped by it.

One of my favorite things about shopping smart and stretching my budget is how it has allowed me to give back in a way that I never would have been able to do before. It’s just pure awesomeness.

Did you know that 1 in 6 Americans are facing hunger? That is nearly 49 million people in our country, including more that 16 million children are living with empty tummies. :(

This Saturday, May 12th is the 20th annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. Letter carriers across the country, in partnership with the U.S. Postal Service will be collecting food for families in need. Here is all you need to participate:

1. Collect and bag non-persidhable food items.

2. Place your bags by your mailbox on Saturday, May 12th for your letter carrier to pick-up and deliver to a local food bank of pantry.

It just doesn’t get much easier than that! I hope you will all join me this weekend to help our neighbors and friends. If you leave bags out this weekend, please take a moment to send me a quick picture at jennie (at) bargainblessings.com. I’d love to do a post to share what we’ve all been able to do together!

Need a little giggle today? Check out this picture and e-mail that I received from reader Hazel:

My cousin asked me on the phone how much toilet paper I have, so I used
some of it to give them a nice little settee in their sleeping quarters. :)

Ahhhhh…the life of a couponer! ;)
