I'm frequently asked for ideas of what to do with leftover newspapers besides throwing them in the recycling bin. Well, here is a great one for you....Homemade Newspaper Trees!

I think these are just gorgeous and am looking forward to making a few this winter! Here is everything you'll need to put these trees together:

Sculpey clay
6mm thick knitting needle
Felt
Craft glue
Clear glass glitter
Receipt spike (optional)
6-by-6-inch card stock
Newspaper
Utility knife
Bone folder
Adhesive spray
Hot-glue gun and glue
Dresden stars

This idea can from Martha Stewart and they have all of the details on how to create your own masterpiece newspaper tree.

We use to make Christmas trees out of Readers Digest magazines. They were just the right size and thickness. Hmm. Wonder where I can find some small magazines like those?
