No, this isn’t a joke. I’m totally serious. As of today, Walgreens has a formal corporate coupon policy! Can you say, YAY?!?! Some of the highlights of the policy include:

* Walgreens can adjust coupons down to the selling price of an item

* Walgreens will accept a store (IVC) coupon with a manufacturer coupon for one item

* When items are on sale Buy One Get One Free, TWO coupons may be used on the items

* They will accept internet printable coupons

* Walgreens will accept manufacturer coupons for an item that is on sale.

I think this is one of the most exciting posts I have ever put up! Make sure to print out the Walgreens Coupon Policy and stick it in your coupon binder…that way you are armed and ready should an issue arise!

I am with you!! This is great! I just had a checker tell me it was illegal for her to adjust down to the selling price. This will definately make shopping there easier. :)

Awesome!!! I had quit shopping at Walgreens because of the horrible problems with my coupons and the rude, or at the very least uninformed, employees. With this new coupon policy, I will definitley give it another go. It will be nice to have something in writing to show them that it is okay to adjust a coupon down. Thanks agin Jennie for all you do.

If an item costs $.99 and you have a $1 off 1 coupon they will adjust the coupon down from $1.00 to $.99 Walgreens has argued in the past that they couldn't take your coupon because it was for more than the price of the item and the weren't allowed to adjust the amount of the coupon down.
