The first night I thought it was a fluke, the second night I thought it was a fluke too…and the third…but after the fourth morning of waking up with a clear head, rested body and great attitude – I know now that it isn’t a fluke. I recently started trying out a new combo of Young Living Essential Oils before going to bed and not only is it helping me sleep better at night…it is making my mornings better than they have been in several years!  It’s now been four weeks straight of waking up this way and really it’s one of those things that I didn’t even realize I was missing until now. waking-up-tired Here was my previous morning routine:

Beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep beep… Snooze
Beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep beep… Snooze
Beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep beep… Snooze
Beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep beep… Snooze
Beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep beep… “8:30!?!?! UGH…it feels like 5am…ugggghhhh”

Drag myself out of bed…

“So what’s on the docket for today?” “Uggghhhhhhh”

…and it would continue along those lines for the first couple hours of the day. Can you relate?

rested Now, here is how the past couple of weeks have been:

Somewhere between 6:00am and 7:00am….

“Goooooooood Moooorning world!”
“Oh my, I must have overslept”
“Wow…only 6:00am? It feels like I’ve been sleeping forever! My alarm hasn’t even gone off!”

That’s when I usually notice that the sun is shining and the birds are chirping (I know that sounds a tad corny, but I’m serious! :)) “So what do I get to do today?” “Woohooo! Let’s get started!!!”

…and again it continues along those lines all morning long…and it’s wonderful.  I’ve always said that I wish I could have an IV of coffee that just automatically starts a few minutes before I need to get up. Now I don’t even feel the need to have coffee! Of course I’m not the worlds biggest coffee drinker to begin with, but I still think that says a lot about how much the the oil diffusing is helping.  sleepy-time-essential-oil
Sleepy Time Essential Oil Recipe

The awesome thing about this recipe is that you only need to use two of your Young Living Oils to make it – it’s super simple! Just take your diffuser and…

Add 3-4 drops of Young Living Lavender Oil (included in the Premium Starter Kit)
Add 3-4 drops of Young Living Peace & Calming (included in the Premium Starter Kit)

Then turn your diffuser on and enjoy the wonderful smell!

That’s it! Sometimes I’ll start this about an hour before going to bed and other times I’ll run the diffuser on my nightstand until it runs out.

I had a fever, eye/ear/sinus/throat infection for 3days…defused eucalyptus and peppermint…feeling MUCH better! I’m going to try your sleep aid this week! I need to get some GOOD sleep!

I am curious. I know there are lots of combinations out there to make you go to sleep but are there ones to make you wake up? I am supposed to get up at 5:00am. I oversleep every morning. Is there one that can help me wake up on time? Or one that can help me not be in that deep sleep where I don’t hear my alarm go off?

I have been curious about essential oils for a long time now, more for my son than for me. He has serious ezcema issues and breathing issues. He has topical steroid creams for bad flare ups and he has been on steroid breathing treatments for the last 6months to hopefully combat asthma. I would LOVE to get away from all the steroids, he is only 2 and I hate putting so much into his body. THoughts on if any oils help either eczema or potential Asthma? Thank you!

Himalayan Salt inhalers work so good for this. My niece has bad asthma and this worked for her. 10 mins is all she does. You can get them on line, I have seen them at sprouts. There is also the salt rooms. There is one in Boulder.

Hi Toni! I’m sorry that I didn’t respond to you sooner – somehow I missed your comment. :) Many are using essential oils to treat these exact conditions. Since I have not dealt with either of them personally, I asked some friends that have been using Young Living oils for years and years. Here are the responses that I’ve received so far:

-Yes! We use co mixed with lavender, lemon and frank for skin and for asthma we use RC, raven and breathe again. No meds or breathing treatments/inhalers in over a year! Completely under control now. I should add tho, she should look at diet first and foremost for the eczema! Healing the inside is where it starts.

-Ravintsara has really helped my asthmatic son a lot! I diffuse it and rub it on his chest.

I just asked about 5 minutes ago, so I’ll let you know what else I hear! :) There is also a very active Facebook group with over 2,000 members that is on the exact topic of “Young Living Asthma and Allergy Relief”.

      I hope that’s helpful! :)
