Important Update on Colorado Grocery Deal Grades

The links in the post below may be affiliate links. Read the full disclosure.

After over 6 years of spending many hours each week applying a deal grade to every item in each of the weekly Colorado grocery store ads, I have decided that it’s time to get a little more sanity back into my Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday routine and change things up a bit. Effective this week, I will no longer be grading Colorado grocery store deals.

I know that this decision will not be a popular one, and I want you to know that it was very difficult for me to make. However, I’ve spent quite a lot of time in prayer about it and am confident that it’s the right choice. Unfortunately, staying up until 2:00am grading deals is simply just not something I can sustain any longer.

So now that I’ve got that bad news out, let’s move on to the good news…

The first item of good news is that I hope to be able to take some of many hours that I’ll gain back and spend them sharing more deals with you all. I also hope to continue to improve our coupon match-ups for both national and local stores.

We will of course still be providing all of the coupon match-ups for each of the stores that we currently cover…that part is not changing at all. :) Over the past year we have made many improvements to our coupon match-up lists. One of the biggest improvements is that we now cover many more deals. For example, two years ago our average Safeway coupon match-up list covered 50 sale items…now the average list covers 250-300 items! We also now provide coupon match-ups for more stores than we ever have before. You an see them all by visiting this page. If there is a store that we are not currently covering and you would like for us to, please leave a comment on this post and I’ll get it added to our requested list.

And the next item of good news…and this one is pretty awesome in my opinion…

I know that many of you have relied on my deal grades for many years and I don’t want to just leave you hanging, so I’ve decided to provide the Bargain Blessings Grocery Price Guidebook to all of you for FREE! This Guidebook is something that has taken my many years of research and careful price tracking to pull together, so I truly hope that it is a blessing to you. Head over here to access your free copy of the Bargain Blessings Grocery Price Guidebook.

Also, don’t forget…

We will still be marking items as “top deals”. These deals will be included on the weekly “top deal” list for each store and will also have a star next to them and a red final price in the full deal list (like you see above). In general, for Colorado grocery stores, these “top deals” are “A” graded deals and stock-up prices.

help-buttonI’m always still here to help…

If you’re ever in doubt if something is a good buy, please leave a comment on that post and I will respond as quickly as I can. :)

Thank you so much for being a Bargain Blessings reader. Regardless of if you’ve been visiting the website for many years or if you’re brand new – I’m so happy you’re here and hope that the coupon match-ups and resources that we share here are a blessing to you!

That is an awesome book thanks! My family recently changed our eating habits for health reasons. Do you know where I can find something like that for all types of meats that are antibiotic free and soy-free products? I know I can create my own but that takes time and sale cycles and it’s already expensive so I want to start saving fast :)

Love that your list includes organic and grass fed beef!

Proud of you for making a decision that may not be received well by everyone, but one that you know was best for *you*! You have dedicated so much time to your followers – it’s good to know that you’re not going to run yourself ragged!!

Please know that we appreciate you and your team of deal-finders greatly. :) You are a true *blessing*!

Man, I’m going to miss those grades, but after reading your blog daily for a few years now, I think I’ve got a pretty good idea. I’m glad that you are cutting back. Every girl has got to put her foot down sometime. Thanks so much for all your hard work. But PLEASE don’t ever get rid of the top deals!:) I don’t have the time anymore to hit all the main stores. I love to be able to take a quick look at the top deals to decide where I should go. :) Thanks again for all you do!

Thank you so much for sharing the Price Guidebook! I wanted this so badly but we just didn’t have the money. And Thank You for everything that you do with this website. With or without the price grades this site is an amazing resource and I couldn’t coupon without it :)

Good for you. Your price list is the most realistic I have seen and always carry it with me. I think with this tool most of us can figure out what is a good deal. Also, what is is a stock up price for once person may not be for someone else. Thank you for the price book and will also be taking that with me. No you should not be staying up at 2:00 a.m. I am always up at 2:00 a.m. but not for the same reasons plus I don’t have to go do a full time job everyday. Although with what I do at home and my couponing I consider my job full time but I can take nap when I need to. Thank you so much for the job you do and I am sure we will still be able get great deals using your site and coupons.

Thank you for all you do! If you were paid all the money you save your readers, you would be extremely wealthy! I am grateful for you. I live in Grand Junction and so my buy it price sometimes varies anyhow. I also rarely buy any products that I know I won’t like or use, unless I am donating them or giving them away.
