Quick Tips: King Soopers doubles coupons up to $1, so if you have a .40 coupon it will double to .80. A .75 coupon will double to $1, and a .25 coupon will double to .50! Remember that eCoupons do not double. King Soopers is no longer giving a .05 per bag credit.

I bought 2 of the Freefly toothbrushes to donate the other day and the cashier wouldn’t take the coupons. She told me she could not adjust the coupon done.

Thank you, Stephanie! It seems to be only certain cashiers who do this… though, I’m pretty sure they are the ones that manage the front end.

My King Soopers lately has told me several times that I cannot use a coupon that is higher than the sale price, the last time being last weekend on the Firefly toothbrushes. Is this correct? Thanks.

Hi Marie,

This is a case where it can be up to the manager’s discretion but, most of the time, the store can just adjust down the coupon to the sale price. Unfortunately there is nothing in the official store coupon policy regarding this type of situation. Next time it occurs, make sure to check with a manager (if you haven’t already) or take the item and your coupon to customer service. Kindly ask them if they will adjust the coupon down for you and go from there. Do note, on the back end, King Soopers will be refunded for the full value of the coupon (when submitted to the manufacturer) but many stores aren’t a fan of giving back overage which is why they may not do it. :)
I also suggest writing to King Soopers via their website. I’ve had great luck getting a quick response from them whenever I’ve had questions/concerns. Make sure they contact you back via email (as opposed to a phone call) so you have the response in writing. :)

Good luck!!
Stephanie
