Quick Tips: King Soopers doubles coupons up to $1, so if you have a .40 coupon it will double to .80. A .75 coupon will double to $1, and a .25 coupon will double to .50! Remember that eCoupons do not double. King Soopers is no longer giving a .05 per bag credit.

Buy 5, Get a $5 Catalina Promotion

Purchase 5 participating items and you'll get a $5 catalina to use on your next shopping trip. I will say that I'm pretty surprised that some of these items will be completely free without even needing to use coupons, but from what I can tell this is how the sale will work. Please share in the comments section if you find differently. :) Also, remember that usually you will only be able to earn one $5 catalina per transaction, so you may need to split your order up. You should not have any trouble rolling this one (using a catalina to earn another catalina).

Fell out of coupon ing for a while. What a splendid week to start up again! Went today and spent $88.71 oop on $345 worth of groceries. $63 of that $88 was stuff I needed but didn’t have coupons for (paying full price is what I get for not keeping my stockpile stocked!). Didn’t want to be a shelf clearer so I will go back tomorrow to finish using up coupons I have left. One thing I noticed, in Colorado Springs the Betty Crocker mashed looked like they were the only ones included in sale. In Woodland Park at City Market, the other boxed potatoes were included (julienne, scalloped, etc). Might be worth a try if you don’t think you want all mashed and have some MQs left.

3 Jenna October 22, 2012 at 10:54 PM

Welcome back Holli! :)

4 Hazel October 23, 2012 at 6:21 AM

There’s the ecoupon for $.50/2 on the taters. It won’t double, but it’s savings all the same. Plus there’s the Totinos ecoupon if it’s still out there.

Welcome home :)

5 Melissa K October 21, 2012 at 11:25 AM

Don’t forget there’s a 75/2 MQ in today’s 10/21 SS for the Blue Diamond Nut Thins, making them $1.50 each.

6 Melissa K October 21, 2012 at 4:28 PM

I just bought the 2 Blue Diamond Nut Thins w/my MQ and got a “75 cents off you’re next order” CAT back from Blue Diamond. That then makes the Nut Thins about $1.13 each!

7 Hazel October 22, 2012 at 8:22 AM

Many thanks … I love those things!

It’s one of my favorite things in the category of I never would have tried these had I not become a couponer, because I shore never would have!

8 Christy October 20, 2012 at 5:06 PM

Does anyone know if the Rice a Roni or Yoplait Frozen Smoothies are part of the Catalina deal?

9 Robin October 21, 2012 at 5:50 AM

In Thornton the Yoplait Frozen Smoothies are not part of catalina.

10 Nina October 20, 2012 at 4:35 PM

I couldn’t find the Breyer’s coupon. Is it gone? :(

11 EmilyM October 20, 2012 at 11:24 AM

With the catalina deal, don’t miss the BC Mac and Cheese (88cents a box), buy 5, get 60 cents overage and the $5 catalina!

12 Joan October 20, 2012 at 4:24 PM

Is this in a box near the Kraft Mac and Cheese? I didn’t know BC made mac and cheese!

13 EmilyM October 21, 2012 at 7:01 AM

Yes, it’s a new product. It is in a red box, the same size as the Kraft Mac and cheese. At my King Soopers, it was located right near the hamburger helper and boxed potatoes in the dry dinner aisle.

14 Crystal October 19, 2012 at 7:36 PM

Just an fyi- they are now limiting the rewards to 4 per transaction. I should have got 8, but after the 4th one, they stopped. I did not see this restriction in the ad, so I am keeping my fingers crossed that GM will send me the $20 in cats that I should have received. :(

15 Angie October 20, 2012 at 12:44 PM

Hi Crystal,
I’ve gone to King’s 4 times this week because this sale is SO great. I have gotten all my catalina’s (8, 5, and 5) except on my last trip on Friday. Instead of printing out 5 catalinas like it should have it only printed out four. So I took my receipt and the catalinas straight to customer service. They issued me a rain check for $5 that expires the same date as my catalinas. I’ve done this before when catalinas didn’t print rather than going through the catalina company. :)

16 Crystal October 20, 2012 at 9:19 PM

The manager is the one who rang me up (she is super sweet- actually likes couponers and give me tips),but she said I would have to contact GM. :( As of 10/18 there was supposedly a limit of 4 rewards and I also read this on of the the catalina sites last night. Still bummed!

17 Jenna October 20, 2012 at 9:39 PM
18 KG October 19, 2012 at 5:44 PM

I tried using an e coupon today loaded to my card and it didn’t take it off. Is there some way to be reimbursed for it? Or is it more than a hassle than the 50 cents is worth?

19 Angie October 20, 2012 at 12:48 PM

Whenever I have an issue with anything not working out right I always go straight to customer service and explain the situation. They always make it right for me right on the spot. Every .50 cents counts. Good luck!

20 Susan October 19, 2012 at 12:21 PM

Does anyone know if this is a one week or a two week sale with the catalina?

21 Angie October 20, 2012 at 12:40 PM

One week

That is an awesome deal, thanks for sharing! Which KS did you find them at?

25 missy October 20, 2012 at 9:45 PM

sorry for the delay – evergreen

26 lauren October 19, 2012 at 7:52 AM

May seem like a silly question, but do I have to buy five of the same item in order to get the cat deal? For example, I have a bunch of the hamburger helper Qs, but they .75/3 and another coupon that will work of .50/2. So, since together I’m getting 5 of the items listed, will it print out the catalina? Thanks!

27 Hazel October 19, 2012 at 8:24 AM

Ayup, I did it last night and it worked just dandily!

Have fun, this sale is a hoot and a half!

28 Emilee October 19, 2012 at 12:25 PM

I’m with ya on that one!!!! Filled my cart for $4.50!!!!!!!!!

29 KG October 19, 2012 at 8:29 AM

Lauren, yes it is any 5 items of the participating items! :) It does not have to be 5 of the same item.

30 Hazel October 19, 2012 at 6:08 AM

Make sure to watch your receipts and your gas points. With the end of the month coming along, sure don’t want to lose them :)

I needed stuff from Home Depot and picked up some HD Gift Cards. With the GC points and the points from this sale, saved $.40 a gallon this morning.

Me likey.

31 Natalie October 18, 2012 at 9:48 PM

In addition to my awesome Catalina deals, I also found Munchkin sippee cups (Sesame Street and SpongeBob) with close out prices-double packs for less than three dollars and singles for less than two. That’s a steal in my house they seem to magically disappear :)

32 Andrea October 18, 2012 at 4:03 PM

My regular King Soopers didn’t carry the BC shake and pour brownies but I went to a different store today and they did and they are included!! They are $2.99 -.50/1 -$1 cat=.99! The store store I went to today even gave me cash back on some of my orders that went negative after using my $5 catalina to roll ( I did several transactions again)!! I paid $2.72 for $75 worth of food!!!

33 Dina October 18, 2012 at 2:42 PM

I just went through my coupons and I’ve got a bunch that work with this sale that I’m not going to use.

The Colgate Triple Action toothbrushes are on sale 10 for 10. There was a .40/1 colgate toothbrush in the 9/30 SS. So .20 each. The coupon expires on Saturday 10/20. I have quite a few of these toothbrushes but couldn’t pass one up at .20 for the food pantry.

36 Sarah R October 18, 2012 at 10:30 AM

Colgate toothpaste is also 10/10 and with the $.75 Q doubled, it’s free.

37 Jody October 18, 2012 at 10:28 AM

Keep an eye on your catalina dates…mine show an expiration date of 1 week. Rolling them is the way to go!

38 Natalie October 18, 2012 at 9:30 AM

Heather the Ks on 10th does roll them!!! Have fun!!!!

39 Hazel October 18, 2012 at 8:44 AM

Ima cracking up (release the Kracken!)

My CFF is preparing and she says she has 29 Hamburger Helper Qs, lololol.

Anyone got a Q on a U-Haul?

I’ll make sure to tell her to call & order ahead if she plans on using them all at once. No being a Newman, grrrr.

40 Natalie October 18, 2012 at 8:33 AM

Heather I went to King Soopers on 35th I am off to try it at 10th this morning too crossing my fingers for luck :)

41 Tori October 18, 2012 at 8:15 AM

grrrr! I can’t find the Jennie-O Q. I had the same problem with Barilla pasta. I get the DP and have never had a problem before. Frustrated!!

42 Hazel October 18, 2012 at 8:26 AM

I think it’s a regional … I only have one in my stash so it either came from Portland or Vegas.

43 Sheila October 18, 2012 at 4:07 PM

I didn’t get it either Tori, or the Tombstone pizza one.. :(

44 Keyva October 18, 2012 at 7:26 AM

I completed one shopping trip last night (in Pueblo) and I was so excited! I ended up paying $7 OOP and purchased $180 worth of products! This sale is so great! I am stocking up as well as getting lots of boxed food for donations due to the holidays coming up! This food will make some people and their families so happy who are less fortunate. I wish King Soopers would have more of these sales! :)

45 Hazel October 18, 2012 at 6:34 AM

I heart King Soopers. By gum I’m going to take my receipt and use their Survey and tell them. Plus, it’s an entry to win $100.00 Gift Card.

With deals like this, the food pantry in CR is going to get quite a lot of food. That’s a big time YAY.

Thank you King Soopers!

46 Natalie October 17, 2012 at 8:46 PM

Has anyone tried this deal in Greeley? I was sad to find out my Catalina’s didn’t roll. When I asked customer service/management if they knew whether it should or not they had no idea what I was talking about :(

47 Heather October 17, 2012 at 10:04 PM

Oh no, I’m in Greeley, but haven’t been shopping yet. I was planning to go to the new one on 10th. Is that where you went?

48 Cate October 18, 2012 at 11:37 AM

Natalie, I’m in Greeley. I went today but didn’t try rolling mine. When I checked out though the cashier didn’t have the catalina printer on. Maybe that was the problem???

49 Sheila October 17, 2012 at 8:26 PM

Side note from this awesome catalina deal, Is the tombstone coupon regional? I didn’t see it in mine, and when I searched the coupon database, nothing showed up.

50 alaina October 17, 2012 at 12:41 PM

Does anyone know where to locate a list of all the items included in the Catalina? I’m just a little hesitant because the Kraft Catalina didn’t work out so great for me. Thanks

51 Elizabeth October 17, 2012 at 1:23 PM

There is a list over on KouponKatarina It’s for Kroger but it looks like the same stuff :)

52 Maxime October 17, 2012 at 11:45 AM

Yowza, fanrollincatalinatastic! I love the excitement of great sales like this, it’s so much fun to read what people nabbed so that I can make plans for a nab!

Phew, all that nabbing makes me think I need a nap :)

58 Eschewing Debt October 17, 2012 at 8:55 AM

Be sure and check the mark-down section at Kings if you are looking for stocking stuffers. I scored yo-yo’s for .79 cents each- perfect for Christmas! Also, at Michaels in their markdown bins they had huge Disney pens for .50- another great stocking stuffer!

59 lore October 17, 2012 at 8:48 AM

i just went to the king soopers in englewood, co and only the first catalina printed, i had 2 other transactions but no catalina printed?

60 Maxime October 16, 2012 at 8:46 PM

Me too!!! Got my qs printed I am so ready for tomorrow.. King Soopers here I come!!!!

63 Dana Johnson October 16, 2012 at 3:25 PM

So if purchases have to be separated, do you literally buy 5 items each transaction?! I’ve never done this kind of thing before and it seems like it might piss some people off. Any tips/specifics?!

64 Dina October 16, 2012 at 5:13 PM

I’ve read at Krogers, that also has this same catalina, that people have been able to buy multiple sets of 5 and multiple $5 catalinas came out. I don’t know but I’m hoping the same will be true for KS. I plan to ask at customer service if they know if that is the case or possibly try it. If anyone else gives it a try please share.

65 mary October 16, 2012 at 9:05 PM

Dana, I was wondering the same thing-I plan to go early so hopefully if I do end up doing 5 transactions, (crossng fingers) it will no piss the lucky cashier off! LOL

66 mara October 17, 2012 at 9:05 AM

They dont have to be seperated. Yay! I got 30 items and received 6 $5 cats back!

67 Jenna October 17, 2012 at 9:35 AM

Awesome! Thanks for the heads up Mara!

68 Angie October 17, 2012 at 1:14 PM

I just went to my King Soopers in Longmont and also verified they do not have to be separated. I actually did do two orders but that was only because I wanted to use catalinas from the first order to pay for the second. I applied $25 in catalinas from the first order to the second and still received the $25 back on the second transaction that I should have. This sale is AMAZING!!

69 Mandy October 17, 2012 at 1:51 PM

Thank you for sharing that! I didn’t want to have to do separate transactions! Woo Hoo!

70 mary October 17, 2012 at 6:26 PM

I did 5 separate transactions (but made sure I went early early early in the morning – lol). I paid 6.39 tax include for 12 betty crocker potato boxes, 9 hamburger helpers, & 6 strudels! Yay! I love this sale!!!!!!!

71 mary October 17, 2012 at 6:30 PM

Also, I forgot to mentioned I got 10 bucks in cats still so its like getting all my stuff free and made like $3.61 :D

72 KG October 16, 2012 at 1:48 PM

I’m not having any luck finding the Old El Paso coupon. Any one else still finding it out there?

73 Hazel October 16, 2012 at 2:16 PM

I didn’t have any luck either … waaaah.

74 Tevia October 17, 2012 at 2:24 PM

I also am not gettng the Old El Paso coupon…

75 Amy October 17, 2012 at 8:26 PM

I guess the coupon must be gone so I removed it from the match-up. There is still the $1/4 MQ (9/9 SS) that should give you a sweet deal of being FREE, even though it isn’t a money maker.

76 alaina October 16, 2012 at 1:13 PM

I am hoping someone could help me out, when I use the kings digital coupons how many times can I use it? For example, I have a .50 off crest coupon downloaded, so in one transaction if I bought 4 crest does the coupon apply to every crest or just one? Thanks for everyone’s comments, I always look forward to them.

77 Angie October 16, 2012 at 1:34 PM

Hi Alaina,
You can only use a digital coupon one time and it does NOT double. :( Also, digital coupons are applied before any paper coupons you might have. Lastly, digital offers cannot be combined with manufacturer paper coupons on the purchase of a single item. Hope that helps.

78 Esther October 20, 2012 at 8:44 PM

Thanks Angie, that helped me a lot! :)

79 Dina October 16, 2012 at 1:09 AM
