Here are your King Soopers deals for the week of January 30th through February 5th. The awesome Mega Event that many of you have been enjoying last week will continue this week and some of the deals get even better with new catalina offers!

See anything I missed this week? Please leave a comment to let us know!

Are you new to Bargain Blessings?

Check-out the Grocery Store Deal Grading System.

Quick Tips: King Soopers doubles coupons up to $1, so if you have a .40 coupon it will double to .80. A .75 coupon will double to $1, and a .25 coupon will double to .50! Remember that eCoupons do not double. King Soopers is no longer giving a .05 per bag credit.

I have Capri Sun personalized price at $1.59…..so, I bought 6 at a time to use 2 of the coupons from a previous post (Coupons.com, I think), and added in 4 cans of Hunts tomatoes to get my $5 off 10. Then, at the register, it gave me a $4.00 catalina back!!!
Sooooooo…..total price for each of my sets of 4 cans of tomatoes and 6 boxes of Capri Suns……..$2.97 – which means that that the Capri Suns only cost 16 cents each box, tax included!!!!!! :-)

I did print them from the link from coupons.com and had 4 of them.

I went to king soopers today, had some zatarians coupons printed off the internet and they wouldn’t take them because the coupons i printed didn’t have water marks on them-that’s what the manager said, did that happen to any of you?
I always print my coupons in black ink. Are the water marks a new thing ?

That’s ridiculous. Did you print them from the link in this post? How many did you have? Sounds like a paranoid manager.

Reach Floss coupon expiration:
All the rainchecks we have been getting will lose much of
their value once the coupon expires on Wed. 2/06. What
is now a $3.20 moneymaker will become a purchase cost
of $1.50 (raincheck says must buy 10). This is not the
first time King Soopers has NOT adequately prepared for
a Reach Floss sale combined with a Catalina.
Anyone know of a King Soopers with the floss in stock?

Catalina tip:
I just figured this out today and it worked great. I usually have a huge cart of goodies so I don’t want to take up too much of the checkers time at the check out. So I went through the self serve line for my catalina’s and then went through the regular line to spend them. It was great seeing my savings on the catalina spent so soon!

Thank you Jenni for the Great class on Wed. I came home with a lot of great tips.

I used to be a regular at the self-scan until I realized it was
becoming too much of a hassle to get ALL my coupons deducted
CORRECTLY. I can’t tell you the number of times I have had
to ask the cashier to recount my coupons. When I use the
regular checkout I can watch as each coupon is deducted.
You need to know EXACTLY how many coupons you have,
APPROXIMATELY what the final total should be & how many
Catalinas you are due. Dealing with a cashier who is distracted
by what’s going on at FIVE other registers does not make for

I can’t find floss anywhere! Anyone in Colorado Springs know which ks has them?

Reply

14 alaina January 31, 2013 at 6:11 PM

I couldn’t find anymore but just got a raincheck because the catalina runs thru 2/24/13

Reply

15 Sue February 1, 2013 at 5:02 AM

On the Reach Floss raincheck, be sure to have
them list the .45cent MEGA PRICE…but you will
have to buy 10 to get it.

Reply

16 Sarah R February 5, 2013 at 6:17 PM

I’ve been told by 2 people at the store ( one called someone to ask) and got a raincheck from another that shows I will get the $.45 price without having to buy 10 products.

Oh and a question- Are all the various Capri-Sun juices included to get the catalina or can you only buy the Roaring Waters or Super- V?? It was not clear to me at the store and no one knew either.

Reply

18 alaina January 31, 2013 at 1:11 PM

Hi Christy, I bought original and roaring waters to get the catalina because the super v wasn’t included in the mega event.

So excited about the Mega Event continuing… going tonight for my 4th trip! Be sure to check out Wholly Guacamole- the organic guacamoles were marked down to $2.50 (Manager’s Special) but were not part of the Mega Event. I used to Qs and got them for $1.50 each. They were not with the other packages but near the Wholly salsa. They don’t expire until February 9th but I’m using them for the Super Bowl party this weekend!! Also the Mile High Yoghurt is still part of the event and with the coupon this weekend they would be $1.50/ 32oz.

20 Kristy January 31, 2013 at 11:00 AM

Thank you! This was my 3rd trip today in the last 2 weeks. Bought 30 items. Paid $11.74 (after $5 in Catalina’s from previous trips) plus another $3 Catalina and a $6 rebate to submit! All things considered, a 88% savings! Plus huge fuel points this month .40 cents off!

I wouldn’t be able to put these shopping trips together without bargain blessings and all of the posts! (My stores are still out of floss, too)

Hey does anyone know if Kellogg’s Froot Loops are included in the Mega Event?

Reply

23 Dina January 31, 2013 at 3:07 PM

I saw Fruit Loops in the stand that had all the Kelloggs cereals that were marked as being part of the Mega. The stand just said various so I don’t know if the cereal aisle has it specifically marked.

Thanks Amy! I was wondering.. you link to some Food Lion MQs, does King Soopers accept these?

Reply

27 Amy January 31, 2013 at 10:00 AM

Hey Maryann! King Soopers should take any coupon that is a Manufacturers Coupon because they’ve stated that in their policy. So as long as the Food Lion coupon is an MQ (which to my understanding it is but I haven’t printed it yet) then they will take it. HTH

Reply

28 Jen January 31, 2013 at 10:15 AM

They took the ones I printed yesterday, I think I used 3 of them, no questions or problems.

Way to go, that’s awesome!! I haven’t shopped at one of their City Market stores yet… how are they different?

Reply

33 Jen January 31, 2013 at 10:14 AM

I dont know…..we have City Market on the western slope, no King Soopers, I’m in Montrose….I dont think they are any different, lots of the store brand items say both King Soopers/City Market but I have never actually been to a King Soopers. The sale stuff if almost always the same, the links you post to the coupons you load to the shoppers card work for me so I think it may just be different names depending which side of the mountains you are on. Maybe kinda like Hellmans Mayo…have you ever read on the label it says known as Best Foods west of the rockies and the Best Foods label says known as Hellmans east of the rockies?

Reply

34 Cindy January 31, 2013 at 7:52 PM

I saved 74% today at City Market in Wyoming. Most prices are similar. The ones that vary are going to be for the Meat and the Dairy dept. Milk is always more here for sure.

Thanks Amy for all you do. This is my #1 blog to go to everyday. :)

Thanks Jen! I only see King Soopers near me but there was a new one I saw called “Kent’s Place” that is a King Soopers branch off or something located off of Hampden West of I-25. Anyway, I was thinking that was a City Market when I asked you lol but I don’t think so. I did not know the Best Foods things either. You totally solved the mystery! Everytime I look at those names I wonder “why do they have different names if they’re the same?” Now I know and feel like a smarty pants lol :)

I have a question. Can you get more than 1 catalina for a certain product. For example if I bought the 7 kleenex boxes, I would get the $2 catalina. If I bought 14 would I get two of those?

Reply

38 Jen January 30, 2013 at 4:32 PM

You have to do them separately so 7 and 7 otherwise you will only get one catalina.

Reply

39 alaina January 31, 2013 at 8:47 AM

No, unfortunately you would have to make 2 separate transactions.

I found .50 coupons on the back of the new Kellogg’s Cereals I bought in last weeks event! So if you snagged any of the Kellogg’s Mini-Wheats Crunch or Kellogg’s Cinnamon Jacks be sure to look on the back of your boxes. I am definitely going back to get more this week. I haven’t tried the Cinnamon Jacks yet but the Mini-Wheats Crunch tastes just like the Quaker Oatmeal Squares if you like those. Was soooo excited to see those coupons!

Reply

47 Amy January 31, 2013 at 10:02 AM

With Mega Events come Mega Gas Points! It’s the end of the month so make you use ‘em and don’t lose ‘em.

I’m on track to get $.30 off per gallon – just need to stop and hit the Wolf Chili tonight and that will put me right there. The Wolf is on a 10fer10 so using $0.40/1; SS 01/20/13 R … will bring it down to $.20 a can.

Oh the irony in discussing using gas points and buying chili in the same comment. (mum)

50 Amy January 31, 2013 at 10:03 AM

lol you’re too funny and thanks for the reminder! i have had a hard time getting my points to work. It seems like I spend a ton at King Soopers and then never get anything but the basic 3 cent discount or whatever when I get gas. Am I missing something?

Reply

51 Hazel January 31, 2013 at 10:12 AM

Is it possible the phone numbers might be different on the account than what you’re plugging in to the pump? Or that your little one is letting people use your phone number in exchange for gummy bears? Those are the only two things I can think of. But you know how we are here, lol, this is the place to plop a question!

Reply

52 Hazel January 31, 2013 at 10:22 AM

Just an after thought, when you’re shopping, do you look at your receipt for the accumulated gas points? If they’re not showing up on the receipt, that will help narrow it down. You might be able to trot up to the CS desk and see what’s shakin’.

Reply

53 Amy February 4, 2013 at 9:25 PM

Thanks so much Hazel! I have to check next time i go in but I am hoping it’s the phone number thing. My receipts all show that I have gas points to use so they should be coming off if there isn’t a number glitch. I didn’t even think of that. You rock!
