Thufferin’ Thoccotash – did I have a thpendid thpending thpree at Thoopers this morning!

The regular deals I found are the Smart Balance Butter spreads – 4/$5.00
$1/1 Smart Balance Spreadable Butter & Canola Oil Blend, exp. 7/18/12 (SS 06/03/12 R) – brings these little tubberoonis down to a quarter a piece!

The honkin jar of Mt Olive pickles is still at $2.99 – after the MQ from yesterday they come to $1.99 for a plethora of pickles.
$1/1 Mt. Olive Pickles, Pepper or Relish, exp. 8/5/12 (SS 06/24/12)

Castle Pines Clearance Cave left me glazey-eyed! They have so many normal type vitamins back there! I was able to get Citracal / 150 coated tablets – $2.69. Regular price $7.34 down to $3.69 but there’s a buck off coupon. Yay – Paul Harvey is smiling! I also got Nature Made Fish Oil / 90 Soft Gels for $8.39 – regular price $17.39. I would have liked to hold out for a sweeter deal but I was out.

The also had small jars of Peter Pan PB for $2.09
Cesars Dawg Food trays for $.29
UP2U gum – $.49 (this is where the register gal told me a person can’t use coupons on Mgrs Specials but she let me slide)

They also had 3 packs of Dentyne gum – I think it was at $1.42?
    Orbit Gum @ $1.29 – I had printables for a buck off so $.29 for a 3 pack

Up front they had some of the Extras Gum on close-out for $.77 a pack and I used the $.50/2 coupons from my All You mag … $.27 a pack.

Anytime I can nab gum I do … gives the homeless chompage!

Oh I need to settle down, this was just so much fun I got all eggsited!

  2. Danielle says

The Sweet Leaf Tea is $10/10 this week. Use the coupon for $0.55/1 from either today’s ad or the 5/20RP, and they are free.

  3. Andrea W. says

The Butoni pasta was priced and rang up at $5.49 instead of $4.99 (wyb 5). Guess I’m going back later to get my $1.50 back. Check your receipts for errors!!
Also, my store had some Juicy juice boxes on closeout for $2.84 but it still took off the $1 (wyb 5) and printed the catalina. We’re stocked up for school!!

      • Hazel says

Is Amy the same Amy that was in the couponing class last August? NEC Amy? (Look over there, it’s Brad Pitt!)

If so, that’s totally awesome and it just goes to show that if you ever sit there and wonder if you’ll ever get good at this, you can and will!

If it’s not the same Amy, good job, too!

  4. Danielle says

On the Juicy Juice, it is only $1.99 if you buy 5. You can use 2 $1/2 coupons making 4 of them $1.49, and 1 $1.99. Then, it will print out a $2.50 Catalina. Therefore, they end up costing $1.09 each instead of $0.74. It is still a great price, but you cannot just buy 2 and get the $1.50 Catalina for 2.

    • Andrea W. says

If you buy 2 of them with 3 other participating items (so that you get the sale price) you can use the $1/2 and it will print a $1.50 catalina. I got a printout from the register and it will prints $1.50 wyb 2, $2 wyb 3, and $2.50 wyb 4. You would have to do them in seperate transactions but it is cheaper if you buy them in sets of 2 ,because they come out to .74/each. Hth!

      • Danielle says

Thanks, Andrea. I appreciate it. My point was that you could not get them for that price if you were just buying the juice. It only worked if you were purchasing other participating items.

    • Hazel says

(in my best Bob Barker voice) Well c’mon down!

Err, c’mon up, over, whichever direction! If you spend enough on close-outs, the gas points might be enough to cover the cost :)

Seems each store has their own little close outs lurking – every once in a while they’ll have the same things at the two Castle Rock stores but it’s a rarity. Just keep your eyes focused on little white tags with red lettering hiding on the shelves. They want to be found, I just know it!

  5. Hazel says

If you need a onesie to make up a 5 -

Coffee Mate Powdered Creamer – the biggun / $4.99
    $0.50/1 Nestle Coffee-Mate Powder Creamer, exp. 7/22/12 (SS 04/29/12 R
    = $3.99

    Below are some 10fer10s:

Betty Crocker Cake Mixes – looked like only selected varieties but they may just have not had enough tags

If you still have the $1/1 Brawny Paper Towels printable (database has link) these would be free

Air Wick cans of air fresheners – there’s a printable link on the database, I didn’t print it out so I’m not sure if they would apply

A few close-outs (Castle Pines location, maybe your store has them, too)

Betty Crocker Brownie Toppers / Marshmallow or Chocolate = $1.24
    Hersheys S’mores Icing = $1.79
Kroger Brand Double Stuffed Ravioli = $.54
Kashi Golden Goodness Cereal / 14oz box = $2.51 (database has some coupon links)

    Capri Sun – 10 count
    Strawberry @ 2/$3.50
    Sunrise / Tropical Morning @ 2/$3.50
    Sunrise / Berry Tangerine @ 2/$3.50
    Sunrise / Orange Wake-up @ 2/$3.74
    $0.75/3 Capri Sun, exp. 6/30/12 (SS 05/06/12 R)

    Kool-Aid Jammers / 10 count – Blue Raspberry @ $1.32
    Quaker Stila – selected varieties @ $1.39
Balance Gold Bars / S’more flavor @ $.49 (check database for printables)
Cascadian Farms Granola Bars – Almond Butter @ $1.64 (check database for printables)

With the Whoppers that are on sale, I think it was last month’s issue of All You, there was a recipe for a Malt Ball Ice Cream Pie thing. It’s very easy, the way I like. It was delicious! I swapped out the chocolate crust for a Keebler shortbread crust and wanted to use Coffee ice cream instead but it wasn’t available where I was. I was in a small town with a General Store and I can’t believe that the basic quart of ice cream I bought was $6.19. I know, shame on me … but I knew I couldn’t haul ice cream that distance and had to do what I had to do. I think I’m so spoiled rotten with coupons so man-o-man did that hurt!

But, the ice cream pie made things all better!

    • abaily says

Dry ice will get your ice cream home frozen. Have the store do double paper with a small piece on the bottom and a small piece on the top. and a paper bag over the top. MINI freezer on the road. Take a cooler with you for even better results.

  6. Bec says

The Boost is on sale and there is a $1.50 coupon that came last month. That makes it about $.90 per bottle. My Son has to drink it every day. That makes it cheaper then buying it at Sams Club!!

    • abaily says

Bec I have a bunch extra I got when I was pregnant I have the 3 powder chocolate high protein and 3 Carb smart chocolate. I got a good deal at $4 per item Let me know if you can use them.

  7. Diane says

Greeley Tribune’s version of the SS 5/20 had $0.50/1 Dannon Oikos yogurt. My Denver Post had the $0.50/2. Most of the time the Post has the better Q’s. Free yogurt for those that get the Greeley Tribune. :)

  8. Michele says

Nope – I meant to post this on the 6/13-6/19 listing. There were no $.99 tomatoes or cheap 32-oz cheese. However, I read some of the other postings and it sounds like there were some deals that were only at a couple south suburban stores.

  9. Michele says

Hi – the hot house tomato deal did not exist in my store (120th & Sheridan in Broomfield) and the employees had not heard of it.
Also, couldn’t find any 32 ounce cheese at the sale price listed – it was all $7.49.
    Could these be store-specific deals?
Thanks for all that you do, ladies!

  10. Cat says

Our King Soopers will not accept coupons for mark-down items now. Last shopping trip I found pistachio bags (7 oz) marked down to $2.49 as a manager special. I bought 5 and handed the cashier 5 coupons for $1/1. I expected to get each bag for $1.49. The cashier told me they have a new policy so she wouldn’t take the Q’s. Does anybody know if this is a general policy for all the Kings, or just mine (Broadway and Mineral)??? That particular store won’t take 2 Q’s for BOGO deals either, but other area Kings will. Seems they are getting pretty anti-Q.

    • Amy says

I have been told at the King Soopers in Windsor they also will not take coupons on Manager’s Special items. They did it anyway for me once but I stopped trying. I haven’t reviewed the coupon policy though.

    • says

Cat~ The King Soopers PR team was kind enough to look into your comment. Here is their response:

Customers CAN use coupons on markdown items. They will not be able to get cash back if the doubled coupon amount is above the price of the item, but the cashier should have taken the coupons. We will follow up with the store to make sure their cashiers are aware that the policy allows customers to use the coupons on future visits.

      • Hazel says

I was told this same thing this morning at the Castle Pines location. I had several Mgrs Special items but it wasn’t a problem until it hit the item that would have given me a $.02 overage.

        • Christy says

I do get told this all the time (won’t take coupons on manager’s special), esp at Louisville, Lafayette stores.

  11. Missy says

Ya Hoo! I can finally restock up on toilet paper….down to my last 6 rolls – EEK! (but haven’t bought any in 6 months) :) Thanks for the match ups each week! Your my favorite coupon blogger.

  12. Hazel says

  13. Joan says

I can’t find the juicy juice coupon on the Walmart site. It must be gone. Do you know when this catalina deal ends? Thank you!!
