hey, I just found a deal . Mrs. Smith pies are part of the mega sale. If you buy the pie 2.99 and a kroger whipped topping 10/10 you get a catalina for 2.00. I found a link to a $1/1off for the pie at KrogerKrazy. It makes the pie and topping .99 for both.

Keep an eye out for the$.55/1 blinkies next to the Halls drops. The Halls bags are 1.24 reg price so only .24 after the coupon!

Does anyone know if you can do more than one mega event in a single transaction (ex, if you buy 20 of the items included do you get $10 off then)?

Reply

Mommy Kane November 8, 2012 at 1:54 PM

Yes you can, I did 3 last week. :)

Reply

alaina November 8, 2012 at 2:41 PM

Yes you can. I just purchased 40 items in one transaction and saved 20.00

Reply

Sarah November 9, 2012 at 2:35 PM

I saw a sign in the Greeley Market Place King Soopers that stated up to 5 mega events in a single transaction. So you can buy 50 items at a time and get $25 off. I think I’ve seen this before with Mega Events so I think 50 is usually the norm.

Amy November 9, 2012 at 3:49 PM

Thanks so much Sarah! That is great to know!

Reply

Amanda November 13, 2012 at 7:47 AM

Just went yesterday and bought 90 mega event items. All my discounts came off so I do not really think there is a limit.

When shopping last week in Aurora I got two surprise catalinas on top of my good deals. I bought two 1/2 gal of the fresh almond milk for 1.99 each on the mega event – had a coupon for .75 off two which doubled to a dollar which I thought was great then at checkout I got a .75 catalina! (Made the milk $1.12 each!) Think I might go back for more if I can find space in the freezer. Also when I bought four of the sugar free jello 4ct packs ($1.49 each) and used two coupons for .80 off two which they doubled to $1.00 each coupon I got a $3 catalina at checkout! Making them $1 for four 4ct packs or .25 each! Thought I would let you all know.

:) That is a “buy” price for the Starbucks coffee for my hubby. The best deal I’ve ever gotten was similar to this with no coupons and a $5 gift card back from Target. And my church uses the Kcups too!

Reply

Amy November 7, 2012 at 8:02 PM

Yay! I am glad to hear that you can get in on this weeks deal :) It’s always so nice to see products you use go on sale…. even better bonus that your church uses them as well!

Reply

Jody November 6, 2012 at 6:52 PM

There is a new catalina on the refrigerated jello. Buy 4 and get back a $3 cat. There are coupons on coupons.com for save $1/2. After coupons and cat they will be 0.25 each! I bought some tonight (Westminster) and did indeed get the cat. There were blinkies at my store right next to them (until today, go figure) so check your binders in case you picked some up earlier.

Reply

Amy November 6, 2012 at 10:09 PM

Thanks Jody! I hope some other folks are lucky enough to snag them at that price!

Reply

Jody November 8, 2012 at 7:23 AM

The refrig. jello is part of the mega event, and the cat goes for awhile, so if your store has them, you should get them for that price. Just bought 4 more last night. I haven’t tried the jello version, just the pudding, so I am not sure about those. I bought the 4 pack, not the 2 pack.

There is a .40 coupon from this past Sunday DP on 5 cans of Swanson broth which will bring the price down to .33 a can!

Reply

Amy November 6, 2012 at 10:08 PM

Thanks for the heads up Elise. I will add it into the match-up!

Beth November 6, 2012 at 2:18 PM

I found Airborne at the Louisville (287) King Sooper as part of the Mega Event for $5.49. There was a $1.50/1 in SS 10/28/12 that brings it down to $4.00. Best price I’ve seen.

Reply

Amy November 6, 2012 at 10:06 PM

Thanks for the heads up! Do you find them to be effective against colds?

Reply

Eschewing Debt November 8, 2012 at 8:15 PM

I find them to be incredibly effective IF you take them right before you think a cold is coming- like if my kids are sick I will take it and then I don’t get sick. I LOVE that stuff- thanks for the heads up, Beth!

Reply

Beth November 6, 2012 at 2:06 PM

When they extend the mega event are all the same items on the sale?

Reply

Amy November 6, 2012 at 10:06 PM

Beth- Yes, usually Mega Event items run for the duration of the sale. Some products on sale vary by location but if your store has something in the Mega Event for week one, you can usually plan on seeing it in the following week as well. HTH!

Jennifer Brown November 6, 2012 at 10:02 AM

Do the Mom’s Best Naturals cereals carry over till next week?

Reply

Amy November 6, 2012 at 10:04 PM

Jennifer, usually anything in the Mega Event will carry over for the full duration of the event. So if your store has them on the Mega Event sale then they should continue this week as well. HTH.

alaina November 6, 2012 at 9:27 AM

Tuesday I also saw Kraft freshtakes and phili cooking creme included in the mega event for 1.99. I have q’s from ks mailer making those .99.

Reply

Deborah Jury November 6, 2012 at 2:41 AM

The Mom’s Best Naturals cereal is included in the mega event, and end up being .99/box after the .50 off. There’s also a coupon available on their website for $1.50 off three boxes.

The Swiss Miss coupons says for a canister. I don’t think they can be used for the packets, can they?

Reply

Amy November 5, 2012 at 10:14 PM

Thanks Samantha. I saw that as I was looking through the coupons and then totally spaced and posted anyway, so great catch! I’ll change it in the match-ups. Sorry!

Reply

Micaela November 5, 2012 at 8:27 PM

Is there any way to find out what products give catalina’s?

Reply

Karrie November 5, 2012 at 8:55 PM

usually couponnetwork.com has the catalinas info. I don’t know if they post all of them, but that’s where I usually get mine

Reply

Elizabeth November 5, 2012 at 9:13 PM

I know that this is a different website from the one we’re one (which I ADORE), but I find this one to be very helpful. It’s from a different region, but at my KS here in Littleton the prices matchup more often than not.

I was worried when Safeway’s milk that normally goes on sale for $1.97 went to $2.17 this week…looks like KS is following the trend and jumping theirs to $2.19. Rising grocery prices stink!

Reply

Amy November 5, 2012 at 10:16 PM

Charlotte- it’s always a bummer when grocery prices rise… here’s to hoping it doesn’t last long… So far Costco is the only place I know that is still holding strong at $1.97/Gallon and that is every week but otherwise it’s always up in the air :(

Reply

CHRISTY November 5, 2012 at 7:57 PM

The swiss miss q I got is for the canister not the packets…unless there is another q floating out there,

Reply

Amy November 5, 2012 at 10:17 PM

Thanks Christy, great catch. I don’t know of another one floating around and I noted that on the coupon and then completely spaced and posted it anyway. I’ll be sure to update the match-up. Sorry!
