Don’t forget today is the last day for triple points over at KelloggsFamilyRewards.com. If you are signed up and stocked up on special K, now would be a good time to put in all those codes since they will be tripled. There are also some other codes out there that will also triple.
KFRDELTAENTERNOW: 50 points
ENTERDELTASWEEPS: 50 points
KFRGIFTOFSAVINGS: 50 points

I entered my special K codes and got 280 points each. So after entering 2 codes and the codes above it’s enough to buy one of the $1.50 off Kelloggs cereal coupons. Then you can buy even more special K for .50!

Jennie, is it possible to set up a grading system on some of these point
programs? There seems to be SO MANY of them now. I don’t know about
everyone else, but I am on OVERLOAD with more & more companies offering
their programs, points & codes. I have a limited amount of time to devote to
couponing & am feeling overwhelmed. PLEASE HELP!!!

Reply

4 Jennie January 12, 2013 at 10:23 AM

Hi Sue~ I’m not sure which point programs you are referring to. Can you please elaborate? Thanks. :)

Reply

5 Sue January 12, 2013 at 12:13 PM

I am referring to big company rewards (points) program such as King Soopers.
That one is a no-brainer for me because I do so much shopping there. The
points for gas purchases are printed on each receipt. It is simple…I NEED SIMPLE.
But stores like K Mart & Walgreens have programs that seem unnecessarily
complicated with their THOUSANDS of points per product. Talk about
overkill….THOUSANDS of points?
And then there are companies like Office Max, Office Depot & Staples among others who have their reward programs.
Individual products, such as Coke, Nature Made vitamins, & Kellogg have
joined in.
I frequently get notices of some product line that now has its own reward
program. It has just gotten to be too much.
I just tune them out because it becomes one more thing to deal with.
I do LOTS of shopping for my family & the Arvada Food Bank…I need
to keep things simple.
I am a big fan of Bargain Blessings because it is Denver-based & has
the latest scoop on unadvertised deals in the area. I don’t know how
you do it Jennie…but THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

Sue~ Please just watch our other posts on Bargain Blessings for details on other programs. If you look at the Walgreens match-ups we have an explanation at the top of the post explaining the points program. We will start covering the office supply store deals in the Summer when back to school deals start and as far as the others go, we do our best to post about them as they come up.

I was wondering why the Colorado proud milk is a C-? Is it the brand? Cause I saw the Safeway milk was the same price and it was a B. Just wondering :) Thanks so much!

Reply

8 Jennie January 3, 2013 at 9:50 PM

It’s a great question Elizabeth. There are a couple different things that play into it and the biggest one right now is that milk prices are in flux so they are a little hard for me to grade. Another one is that King Soopers is a Colorado store and Safeway is a national store. Colorado’s milk prices are some of the lowest in the country and King Soopers has had milk on sale for around $2.20 in recent weeks. If there is something that goes on sale often for the same price it will get a C since there is really not sense in stocking up. You’ll likely see milk grades move around during the next couple of weeks/months. Hopefully we will settle on a regular price soon…I’m just hoping that it stays low! :)

Pampers Wipes are also part of the Mega Event when you buy 5 participating items. They’ll ring up at $1.99-$0.50/1 MQ from P&G =$0.99 (not as low as we’ve seen them recently, but if you need wipes it’s better than paying full price).

On the Kelloggs cereal … noticed this morning that the display with all of the plastic bowls was still there. I did this deal last week and for some reason, the bowl did not scan through as free but the register person fixed it. Not sure what the problem was. There wasn’t anything to rip off of the display so it’s a total mystery.

The deal is if you buy 2 boxes of Kelloggs cereal, 10oz or larger, you get the free bowl. The bowls are plastic and have 4 different designs – the Raisin Bran sun, Snap Crackle & Pop, Tucan Sam and Tony the Tiger. Of course the one I got was Tony the Tiger – figured the fuzzies would love a new bowl for the new year. Now the other 2 fuzzballs want their own Tony bowl. It never ends, kids.

18 Jamie January 3, 2013 at 10:14 AM

My bowl didnt come off either and my cashier said “oh you must have got the wrong stuff” so I ended up paying for it…$1.98 oh well

Reply

19 Hazel January 3, 2013 at 10:46 AM

Ick, sorry to read that – but it’s nice to know it seems to be the norm. It seemed pretty cut and dry as to what the requirements were.

Maybe I’ll just put the display in my cart and haul it up there when I go get the other bowls, cuz I’m feeling a little feisty. Dare I say, snap, crackle and poppish?

Reply

20 Hazel January 4, 2013 at 6:12 AM

Heyas Jamie … I just stopped and I was prepared. I told my favorite register person ever, Sarah, that I was getting the bowls so we needed to check it out. I warned her even before I went back to get them. Got to the register and scanned it, rang up as Kellogg Cereal @ $1.98. So I grabbed the little bugger bowl and looked at the bar code on the bottom … it says right on the bar code “Free with purchase of 2 Kellogg Cereals”. I was armed and ready, but when I hit “pay now” – the buck 98 came off. The only thing I did differently was I had two of the same cereals, the 1st time I had 2 different ones.

Not sure if that helps – if you still have your bowl with the bar code sticky on the bottom, you may be able to get the $1.98.

Knowing the requirements are right there on the bar code will be a great help when I go get the 3rd Tony bowl for Mr. Doodles. Meow.

Price at Safeway is $.89 at the moment. If we all chant loud enough maybe it’ll go on sale Wednesday :)
