Buy 8, Save $4 Mix and Match

Safeway is starting a new Buy 8, Save $4 promotion this week. Mix and Match any 8 participating products, and $4 will instantly be deducted from your total. Basically, you are saving .50 on each item you buy. Keep in mind that you can only do this once per transaction. I stand corrected! You can actually buy as many items over 8 in one transaction as you would like and still save .50 per item. Yay!

There are many more products included in this promotion that were not pictured in this week’s ad, so the below list is just a start. Let me know if you come across any other great deals! The prices below are after the $4 promo, so they assume you are buying 8 participating products.

  1. Andrea says

Yeah! Mine did double!! Good to know! Can you reload the Cellfire or Shortcut coupons or can you just use them once?

  2. *~*~*Bargain Blessings*~*~* says

Andrea~ As long as the bar code starts with a 5 and not a 9, the coupon will double automaticaly at Safeway and King Soopers.

  3. Tori says

Andrea ~ I have found that the Canon City stores (Safeway and City Market) double anyway. Yours don't? That really stinks.

  4. Andrea says

Be careful of the Cheerios and Betty Crocker coupons…they do say "do not double" so it ends up being a little more $$.

  5. Jenn S. says

Tori – I was just going to post the same thing!
Did anyone find any coupons for Capri Suns that are not expired? I need to get some for my son's baseball game next week! :-)

  6. Anonymous says

Thanks a ton for all the info! I am new to couponing and just got my first "big score". I paid $17.60 for $100.09 worth of groceries! It would have been less but I had to buy milk. Thanks again!

  7. Tori says

Jennie ~ I just pulled out my capri sun Qs and they have an expiration of 5/23. :( Am I missing something?

  8. *~*~*Bargain Blessings*~*~* says

Mj~ Check out this post to answer some of your questions on eCoupons:

    http://www.facebook.com/welchsgrapes?v=app_129439533733942.#!/welchsgrapes?v=app_129439533733942

No, eCoupons do not double (good question!)and they can only be used once.

Susan~ You can use your Cellfire and Shortcuts coupons together with MQs!

Subee~ Yes, you can use the PG eSaver coupons with that deal…and the grade really depends on how bad you need it. I wouldn't call it a stock up price, but if you need it…go for it! :)

    Thanks for the report Tingeys!

  9. Susan says

Another question – I have NV granola bars saved on cellfire and had one already saved on shortcuts. Will those both apply to the same box or would I have to get 2 boxes to use them both?

  10. Sarah says

At my Safeway (Longmont) Explosion mac was included, but it was 89 cents a box vs. 49 cents. Also, Honey Nut Cheerios were 1.99 instead of 1.49. And, there does not appear to be a limit..you just get past 8 items and then the lower prices kick in on all participating items.

  11. Subee says

I see the ad for "save $6 instantly when you buy 2 participating products"
Looks like P&G products. Would PG e-coupon works on top of this deal? If so, Charmin bath tissue 24 big roll and Bounty 12 big roll are $6.99 each. Is this a good deal??

  12. Susan says

Does anyone know if there is a limit to how many of these items you can purchase in one transaction? It looks like they don't have to be in sets of 8, the savings just apply after 8?

  13. A Tango with the Tingey's says

I was just at Safeway and sorry ladies, it looked like the original mac was the only one included and for sure the only one for $.49. Just wanted to point out that there is also a printable somewhere out there for the Lysol wipes right now, also $1/1. If you do get the Lucerne 32 oz. cheese make sure to use the $1/2 coupon from the Safeway Dairy booklet. Here's the best one though – the Dr. Pepper is included in the Pepsi 2-liters and I had some of those $.60/1 printables from a couple of weeks ago which makes each bottle into a $.17 money maker!

  14. Susan says

I am also wondering about the Kraft cheese explosion mac and cheese. I have some tearpad coupons I hope to use!

Dear Bargain Blessing nice lady Jennie!! Could you please email me back at pesheridan@juno.com? THANKS. I just want to be sure I understand cellfire ecoupons. If I load them to my loyalty King Soopers or Safeway card, can I use manuf. coupons in addition and will those be doubled? Also, does King S. have their own site for ecoupons or is cellfire the only place to get ecoupons?

SORRY for all the ?s. This is new to me. Thanks for your great blog. I am so glad to have one in Colorado. I live in Fort Collins. You have helped me before and I am so sorry to bother you again. THANKS a lot.

    Mj

  16. Sarah says

I think it's "8 or more" so you don't have to buy in multiples of 8, you just need at least 8 of the participating items and then the 50 cents per item starts coming off. My Safeway has Green Giant Valley Fresh Steamers for 1.79 on this sale, and Coupons.com had .50 off, which would double to $1.00 and make them .79 each. I have never bought those before so I don't know if that is a good deal or not?

  17. The Thorn Family says

i found your blog randomly on hip2save.com the other week & am in love with your Safeway posts!! it is so nice to have it all figured out for you before you even go to the store! thanks again so much!!!!
