I had a little bit of extra time this weekend so I went to a few more stores than normal. I am quite pleased with the results! We will primarily be eating out of our stockpile this week.
Safeway:I stocked up on Mentos gum and picked up some Quaker Oatmeal, Simply Juice, Cottonelle and Raspberries. I spent a total of $7.90.
Sprouts: I picked up some yummy apples to make apple pie and some green beans. My total was $2.54.
King Soopers: King Soopers was my favorite store of the week. I did their frozen food promo and also picked up lots of FREE Dawn dish detergent and some other miscellaneous items. I only spent a total of $14.27!
Walgreens:I snagged three Blistex lip ointments and three Mucinex and just had to pay tax in the amount of $2.46.
Sunflower Market: I decided to stock up on chicken breasts at sunflower this week. I also picked up two bunches of asparagus. My total was $18.18.
This week’s dinner menu includes: Tacos, Whole Chicken, Pizza, Meatloaf, and Baked Chicken Breast.
Total for October: $109.10
Total for 2010 (on groceries, toiletries, and cleaning supplies!): $962.55

I stocked up on chicken breasts at Sunflower too this week! (And I’ll probably end up buying a little more next Wednesday as well.)
I was wondering why you rated the deal as a “B.” Whenever I see chicken for $1.70 or less per pound (boneless), I always stock up, since I never see it for cheaper than that. Is there another store or another type of deal in which you can get boneless chicken breasts for less than $1.69/lb?
Emily~
Good quesiton. Since we see chicken breast go on sale often for this price it is rated a B. My A rated price ($1.57/lb) is very close to this one, but still alittle bit rare. For chicken breast my personal stock-up target price is a B right now.
I hope that makes sense.
