Here are my shopping adventures this week!

Walgreens: I will have made .20 once I get my rebate for the cough syrup back. I also picked up a bunch of the free nutrition bars.

Sunflower Market: My husband wanted me to make some homemade energy bars (which ended up being AWESOME!) so I picked up a bunch of random dried fruit and a few other ingreedients. I also snaged three butternut squashes. I spent a total of $13.45.

King Soopers: I picked up some eggs, potatoes, carrots, parsnips, dried milk (for the energy bars), and a few other items. My total was $21.84/ EeeeK!

Safeway: As you can see, I totally stocked up on Almond Accents at Safeway this week! Unfortuntely this deal is now over, so I hope that you were able to get in on it! I spent a total of $4.70 at Safeway this week.

This week's dinner menu includes: Tacos, Whole Chicken, Pizza, Meatloaf, and Baked Chicken Breast.

Total spent this week: $39.79

Grand Total for October: $148.89 *Phew! Came in just under budget this month!

Total for 2010 (on groceries, toiletries, and cleaning supplies!): $1002.34

Would you post the recipe for the energy bars? I keep trying the store bought kinds and say yuck! to most of them.

I hope I can learn to shop like you some day Jennie. I’m getting better at it every week though!
