Nope, $6 grass fed beef is a typical price, not a sale price. I can get it at farmers markets for $6/lb regularly and if you buy 4lbs it is $5/lb. Whole Foods had a great sale last Friday for grass fed beef for $3.50/lb so I stocked up on that. Hope that helps! Thank you so much for doing this as I look forward to seeing this post every week!

I watch these sales too, and there is a difference between grass fed beef and organic grass fed beef with regards to price. The best price for organic grass fed that I have seen recently was Sprouts in the fall, when they had it for $3.99/lb. Jill, was the beef at whole foods also certified organic?
