Target Cartwheel: A New Spin on Saving More at Target!

Have you heard of Target’s new Cartwheel savings program? It’s still in Beta, but I think it has some pretty awesome potential! You can save as much as an additional 30% off on items you buy everyday at Target. This includes grocery, health & beauty, household, clothing, baby items and a whole bunch more. The best part is that you can actually combine these new Cartwheel offers with your coupons. You should be allowed to use one Cartwheel offer with a manufacturer’s coupon, and a Target coupon…talk about some serious triple stacking savings potential!

You will need to have a Facebook account to earn savings as well as  a smartphone so that you can redeem this additional savings at the store. It should also be possible to print your bar code if you don’t happen to have a smartphone. Target is hoping that you will be sharing these deals with your Facebook friends, thus the need for a Facebook account. Each time you select a Cartwheel offer it will appears on your Facebook feed so your friends can see which additional savings you are getting in on. Remember, you can always change your privacy setting on Facebook to keep more of your information private.

To get started with this new savings program, you’ll first have to login with your Facebook account. After you have done that then you can start browsing through the offers. You can do this by clicking on the Collections box, where you’ll find all sorts of savings categories. If you would like to select an offer, you’ll just tap on the card followed by the “add button”. These selected offers will then be added to your Cartwheel. You will initially be able to select 10 offers, and then after that you can earn more through badges, which are earned when you redeem selected offers. You can also click on the “hints” button to see how to earn additional badges.

When you’re ready to head out to Target to purchase your items and your offers are in your cartwheel, you can either print your Cartwheel barcode , or you can use your mobile device in the store to access your barcode.

Remember that an offer can easily be removed if you change your mind and don’t want to take up one of you 10 spaces with it. You can also check on the expiration date by clicking on the card in your Cartwheel.

Some important details to keep in mind:

  • A Cartwheel discount will be taken after any applicable Target coupon and before your manufacturer coupon.
  • You can redeem all the Cartwheel offers on your Cartwheel list at the time of your transaction. For example, if you have 10 offers on your list when you scan your barcode at a Target store, and you’re purchasing items tied to all 10 offers, you’ll save on all 10 items.
  • You can save on your entire Cartwheel list up to 6 times per day.

I’m really excited to give this new savings program a try, and of course we would love to hear about what you think about this as well, so boogie on down to the comments section and let us know!

So there is no App currently correct? It is just the website and you print out the details? Thanks.

Used it for the first time yesterday.. WAS AWESOME.. The cashier and a manager came over. It worked great. I had Mobile q’s, man q’s, target q’s, cartwheels, and about $180 in gift cards.. WOOP WOOP.. I spent $69 outta pocket and got back $25 in gift cards.. I was so excited.. I was able to cash in on the Goldfish Grahams and get FREE MOTT’S. I got covergirl eyeshadow. Our endcaps were completely stocked with even MORE savings. YEA BABY.. Got a 4 pack of children’s Spiderman toothbrush’s for $1.74.. ALso some Spiderman Foam toothpaste. My 4 yr old will be SOOOO excited. I also found a bouncy seat I’ve been eyeing for a few months (newborn in the house) on clearance. Original price $65 on sale for $40.. I love the idea of the Cartwheels, along with target q’s and man q’s…

Is this going to replace Target’s mobile coupons, or will this truly be something separate? I’m not complaining, but it seems to me that shopping at Target is going to require some serious organizing skills. The last time I went I had printable manufacturer’s coupons, two different Target mobile coupon barcodes on my phone to be scanned, my 5% savings card to scan from their prescription program, and my 5% redcard savings. Doing all that while trying to keep a 3 year old boy from climbing out of a cart was interesting to say the least. Now there’s more?! LOL

I have not heard yet, but was wondering the same thing Madeline. I totally agree with you that the multiple programs are getting pretty nuts! :)

I completely agree! Checking out is getting to be a challenge. I dropped some of the mobile coupon deals because of shopping with my almost 1 and almost 3 year old. I am going to give the cartwheel a try on infant and toddler swimwear – 10% off – my main purpose of going. The pool is opening!!!
