I was in the Safeway at Castle Pines this morning and the cashier told me that there has been a change in their policy – they no longer allow store coupons stacked with MQs.
Have you heard anything like this? I just checked their policy and I sure don’t see anything like that.
That would be major stinkballs if it’s true. I can’t say that I totally believe it, because I’ve been told so many incorrect things from cashiers that unless I see something in writing, I’m a doubter.
I was told something similar tonight at the Safeway in Highlands ranch. I was told I can only use 1 manufacturer’s coupon. they let me stack their ad and 1 manufacturer coupon, but that was all. I am annoyed cause I have never had this problem before. I always loved shopping at Safeway cause it was EASY! Seems like they are trying to possibly change that!
Hi Cami…surely Safeway corporate would be upset if they knew their stores were not following the coupon policy and turning down perfectly good business. I very highly suggest contacting the store manager and corporate if necessary. It sounds like it is just a misinterpretation of their policy.
Jennie I do believe I’ve been lax – I haven’t said thank you once this year. Shamey on me for shore! I’ve been seriously blessed by what you’re doing here and I just can’t thank you enough.
With the warmer weather approaching I’ve noticed that the creepy crawlies are starting to emerge. My landlord has put out bait traps after I complained of the pest problem, he doesn’t believe me when I say he has roaches and mice in the house I’m renting. I’ve bought some cereal and rice containers for the packages that are open and refuse to let my kids open another box of cereal until a container is empty of it’s current contents. Is there anything that can be done to keep pests out of my stocked food?
I know there is only one Bargain Blessings and only one Jennie, but I’m wondering if you know of anyone in the Houston area that offers what you do – with the Faith based and family aspect?
Hopefully one of your partners, wait … Texas, pahdnahs / affiliates is down that way.

I have watched the show EXTREME COUPONING and was wondering how you purchase multiple items. For example when they purchase like 96 tubes of tooth paste but get it all free. How do they do that? Can you help?
Welcome Sera! In CO and most other places there are store rules on how many items you can get at a time, i.e. King Soopers only allows 5 like coupons at a time, I think Safeway is 4. So many times we max out at 4 or 5 at a time. Jennie has great info on store policies and offers couponing classes. I’m not sure when the next class will be since she just had one last weekend, but those are great! I would start under the ‘Getting Started” tab at the top of the page, there is a wealth of info there. And as you go along, just post your questions under the various topics (King Soopers Deals 3/21-3/27, ect) there are tons of us on here regularly that are happy to help as well. Good Luck!

To me, this here little section is one of the most important things to keep my eyes on. I see someone post and I check it because it just might be a super sweet deal in that post. Or, my true favorite thing … I grin and a giggle from a reader

I’m having company from Houston this weekend and for the first time ever I don’t have to shamefully ask for specifics on what kind of food to have in the house. It was always so very embarassing to ask but my family knew that I didn’t have any money and couldn’t go out and buy various “company” food. So I always had to ask for a list of what they’d like.
This time, I don’t have to. I have such a variety of food to offer and none of it has “Great Value” on the label! That, in and of itself, is just amazing to me. I’ve actually only got 3 items in my home that have the Great Value label.
Don’t know how to thank you … this is just one on the list of many reasons how Bargain Blessings has changed my life.

There was a honkin’ insert snafu in Castle Rock yesterday so if you’re in CR and haven’t had a chance to check your insert, you may want to.
I know it happend on one route, may have been others. They put out the insert from last week in this weeks paper. YES packets had the correct insert, bizarro land.
They redelivered my papers so I sat in the driveway and checked in front of them – the redelivery even had the wrong insert so I was validated in that I wasn’t trying to scam them.
I eventually got my real insert and all in all, I came out smelling like a rose with extra inserts from last week plus this weeks but it was a little weird getting to rose stage. And yes, I scored more popcorn with my last weeks extras
