Alrighty…this isn’t your normal deal post but I think it is just as important. I’ve heard more than a few stories about this lately so I thought I’d take just a moment to address it…
I just wanted to remind to everyone that when using a coupon it is very important to make sure that you still tip on the full amount of the bill or service. This also applies when you are using a daily deal certificate such as Groupon or Living Social.
When you buy a daily deal certificate it is already at a very deeply discounted price. It is also important to understand that the daily deal website is also charging the service/product provider 50% or more of sale to host it on their website. This is exactly why it is so important to be respectful and tip on the total before coupon.
If we want the good deals to keep coming it is up to us to make sure we are all playing fair. 😉
