It’s been a little while since I’ve worked a gift card promotion at Target because, well, sometimes working out the scenarios makes my brain hurt a little. I’m just being honest with y’all. 🙂 This week, however, I had to go for it because the deals just seemed too amazing to pass up!
Through March 21st you can receive a $5 gift card when you purchase $20 in select personal care products. This includes oral care, deodorant, body wash and bar soap and hair products! All you have to do is cut out the coupon that was in the weekly ad or text “CARE” to 827438. As you can imagine, the number of scenarios are endless but I wanted to share with you what I ended up with, including an awesome deal on Garnier styling gel!The location I went to was out of a few of the items I had hoped to pick up, so I had to think on the fly a bit.
Here was my scenario:
(3) Colgate Optic White and Enamel Health Toothpastes $3.99
(1) Right Guard Heat Shield Deodorant $3.39
(2) Sauve Kids Hair Products $1.89
(1) Garnier Fructis Styling Gel $1.74
Total Cost: $20.88
-$2.00/1 Right Guard Xtreme Heat Shield Antiperspirant Deodorant – 3-1-15 RP (exp 03/28/15)
-$3.00/2 Suave Hair Care Products – 3-8-15 RP; Includes Suave Professionals, Kids and Styling; Excludes Naturals and Trial and Travel sizes; Limit of 2 identical coupons in same shopping trip, No Cash Back (exp 04/05/15)

-(3)$1.00/1 Colgate Total, Optic White, Enamel Health, Max Fresh or Sensitive Toothpaste – 3-8-15 SS; Includes 3 oz or Larger (exp 03/21/15)
Buy 3 select Colgate items and receive a $5 gift card!
Buy $20 in participating personal care products and receive a $5 gift card!
Out of Pocket: $10.79
Final Price: $0.79 for 7 items!!
Did you catch that hot deal on Garnier? There are multiple prices of Garnier styling products but I found this bottle of styling gel for only $1.74! PLUS, there is a 5% off Cartwheel offer which brought it down to $1.65. When you pair that with the $2.00 off coupon I listed above, that means it’s better than free!According to Target’s coupon policy: “Coupon amount may be reduced if it exceeds the value of the item after other discounts or coupons are applied.” So it’s best not to go in expecting to receive back that overage. That will vary by store. 🙂
I hope you have as much fun as I did, working your scenarios. Comment below and let us know how you did! If you haven’t gone yet, just remember to bring your coupons (and a calculator) because you may have to think on the fly!
Make sure to check our Target page before you head to the store so you can pick up a few more great deals while you’re there.
